still heavily influenced by the Gucci/floral vibe and other designers such as Marc Jacobs, Céline, Balenciaga i did this small square painting on canvas. This piece has bath/swimming pool-like qualities and the positioning of the figure away from the viewer feels a bit voyeuristic and also melancholic. I deliberately chose to change the colour of the water from a normal murky blue colour to pink. The pastel pink, a blush shade also considered as 'millennial pink' currently, is a hue that has become popular and appeals to a specific demographic and i feel more people can associate and. As well as this there is the obvious delicacy to it and the connections to feminism. I really love the pink aesthetic and want to make my project about it - experiment with it, create various pieces using it as i feel it is a very tactile colour. I find it calming and think it has the ability to be gentle and confident simultaneously.
